Dr. Seuss Moment Trilogy
Fred the Turtle
This turtle is called Fred
He has a big shell on his back
And whenever he is afraid.
He hides in his shell tucking all the way back!
When Fred was out for a walk
He saw a rabbit fell over the dock
Fred was shocked
And tucked himself into his shell like a rock.
Rabbit cried for help
Hoping someone would hear
But no one was near
Except Fred who was in fear
The situation became worst
Then Fred remember God’s words
“Be strong and courageous”
Then he decided to help the rabbit out first
Fred saved the day
Rabbit is now okay
“Thank God you’re courageous today!”
Rabbit with a grateful heart says
Joshua 1:9 (New International Version)
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

More Dr.Seuss moment...
Here's a story of Jeremy the Monkey
Jeremy was a monkey.
Jeremy is greedy.
Jeremy takes other people’s candy.
Even from a baby!
Now Jeremy and family go for groceries.
His parents are buying veggies.
Jeremy saw his favorite bubbly candies.
And he took it without paying money!
When Jeremy’s walking out of the store.
A security guard stopped him at the door.
Told him: “You’re not allow to leave anymore.”
“Because you stole candy from the store!”
Since Jeremy was greedy for some bubble.
He got into big trouble for some little bubble.
His parents discipline him.
And teach him to stay out of trouble.
The Bible says:
“A greedy man brings trouble to his family…”
Proverbs 15:27a
So I guess God letting me to be more poetically creative than I thought.
And guess where I got the name Jeremy from?

A Dr.Seuss Moment.....
(Click here to get a glimpse of what I do with Katie on Saturdays)
And we have to be creative to get the kids attention.
Recently, instead of reading the usual Bible stories (which all the church kids knew off heart Daniel and the lion or Jonah inside a fish for 3 days), Katie and I decided it's more fun and attention grabbing to make up a Bible-themed story and incorporate the drawing lesson of the day.
It's my turn this week to write a story based on the lesson: a bunny.
And here's what I wrote
Story of the Bunny with no self-control
Kenny is a bunny.
Kenny is four.
Kenny like sweet carrot and veggies.
And Kenny will eat them all!
When Kenny went to a Christmas party.
When Kenny saw all those veggies.
When his parents told Kenny “Don’t eat too much or you’ll hurt your tummy”
Kenny ate everything and scared his granny!
Now Kenny’s stomach is full.
Now Kenny’s parents are worried.
Now Kenny’s feeling green and blue.
Kenny needs to goto the bathroom in a hurry!
The fruit of the Spirit has self-control.
The Bible tells us so.
The story of Kenny reminds us young and old.
That self-control keep us out of trouble!
... no I wasn't "smoking" anything, but I had a weird Dr. Seuss moment for about half an hour when I wrote this.
I have never written anything that rhymes since grade 4 and probably will never again. I don't think I'll actually tell this version of the story to the kids, so I'm taking this opportunity to archive this on the internet.
Thank you.

James May Cat
This is a true story.
I was watching Top Gear Season 13 Eposide 7. During the bit where James May and Jeremy Clarkson was trying to make a VW Scirocco ad, when James was presenting his last commercial, my cat decided to walk across my monitor, sat in front of me, and turned off the sound with his butt hitting the volume down on the keyboard! He gave me a very dissatisfying look, as if he's rooting for Clarkson and booing May.
So I grab my camera from my desk and took a picture, photoshopped it and here it is!
To be honest I like all 3 hosts on Top Gear, and have no intention to insult any of them because they're brilliant in what they do. Yet this is such a golden moment that I have to share it with all the Top Gear fans.
(But really I think the cat is pissed at me because I kept on watching Top Gear way pass his feeding time)

Gallardo Super Trofeo Cartoon in Colour!
I'm so excited! From the sketch in the previous post to this final drawing I have learned some more Illustrator technique. Still trying to learn more about colouring and shading, but I think I did ok on this one.
